BA in Cinema degree course of Punjab Technical University is an intense three year programme for imparting education and training in filmmaking and television presentation at an appropriate professional level.

This course would equip the students to enter the show world at a higher level than those who may have undergone a craft oriented course on film & television production. We at this institution of higher learning believe that a career in films and television is greatly enriched by the sound theoretical knowledge, practical training in relevant craft skills, ability to work in a team and capacity to solve problems faced in the actual working environment. The courseware for this degree course has bee designed keeping in mind that a well rounded maker of entertainment products has to be knowledgeable, technically competent, talented and above all a good human being.

This degree course has been divided into three phases - the theoretical phase, working skills development phase and production project phase.
Men and women who have passed the 10+2 examination of a recognized board of examination of a recognized Indian or foreign university, and believe that making of modern day entertainment products is both an art and a science which requires systematic and serious study, are welcome to enroll on this course.
