Screen presentations are powerful means of mass communication because they simultaneously influence two of our senses i.e. seeing and hearing. They delight the mind and provide relaxation to the tired and tense nerves through entertainment. Screen presentations fascinate almost everyone. They are the most popular pastime for the majority of the people. Very large number of people work in the film industry and a large amount of money is being invested in the entertainment business.
A well rounded maker of entertainment products has to visualize his screen presentation with moving pictures be conversant with the use the camera and light creatively; piecing together the moving picture techniques of acting, screenplay writing and the techniques of directing and producing a motion picture. I syllabus for the course of study has been designed to help the student learn the elements of structuring a narrative of a story or documentary with pictures and sound. PTU
